Baker Wedding: The Details.

This was our guest book table. It had engagement photos, a bridal portrait photo, photos of our parents on their wedding days, and obviously the guest book, which was a framed map of Charleston that used to belong to Cameron's deceased father. The framed picture with the heart on it said "In honor of our guests, we have made a donation to the American Heart Association." This was in honor of Cameron's brother.

My good friend, Jenny, designed and printed our programs as a gift to us. They were sewn together with gold thread, which I loved.

My bridal portrait.
Another "oopsie" moment - we had all of these photos set out prior to the ceremony and guests could look at them before they even saw me walk down the aisle!

To save a little money, I made the centerpieces for the smaller round tables. Just a vase, a pillar candle, and some nautical rope. There aren't any pictures of them :(, but the tent pole covers and cocktail tables were also tied with this rope.

Like I said in a previous post, I was obsessed with my bouquet. It turned out even better than I had imagined! It was mostly white, with a touch of the lightest pink. Filled with hydrangeas, peonies, ranunculus, garden roses, sweet peas, astilbe, and greenery.
Oopsie - It was supposed to be wrapped in lace from my mom's wedding veil. She brought it with her but my florist forgot to ask for it. I even asked my florist if I should bring her the lace the week of the wedding, but no, she said just to bring it the day of the wedding. Ugh.

The Bakerita!
They were your standard margarita, but tweaked exactly to our liking. Not too sweet, not too tart. Just right.
With the ribbon straws I made.
I followed this tutorial, but used actual cocktail straws instead of stirrers. I'm all about usability, people!

These were the mini fried green tomatoes that were passed during the cocktail hour. Also passed were mini crab cakes, caprese salad skewers, and my beloved fried green pickle chips! They were served in the cutest way, but sadly no pictures were taken of them. :(

We had a Lowcountry Garden Display table that consisted of: pimento cheese, crab dip, lowcountry caviar salsa, fruit and veggies.
For dinner there was a beef carving station, shrimp and grits, and lowcountry eggs rolls (pulled pork, collards, corn and a peach mustard sauce)

I had a really hard time deciding on what I wanted my cake to look like. All I knew is that I  wanted it simple, and I was pretty sure I wanted a pretty "B" on it.
(I see you, Shelby!)

Close up shot of our rings, with the bottom of our koozie in the background. One more place that the special heart was found.
