Friday Five - Number Four Eleven.

Every night, after the usual nightly routine, I lay in bed and browse through Instagram until I can't keep my eyelids open any longer. I love the random stuff I come across from food pics, to perfectly staged homes, to clean eating recipes and workout inspiration!

One night, I came across the cutest linen cocktail napkins and screen shot it so that I would remember to go back later and look more into them. The next day, I went to the website and was pleasantly surprised at all of the adorable things on there! The store is called Number Four Eleven and they are based out of Savannah, Georgia. You can check them out here online or in person whenever you are in Savannah!

PS - Just checked out their About Me page and one of the owner's middle/maiden names is the same as my {not very common} middle name! Kind of freaky.

These are my top 5 picks from the website that would be great to give as a gift, or for yourself!

Weekending. {Concert, House Update, + 50 Shades}

Oh, hello. Just me popping in for a quick weekend recap. I literally felt like I did not sit down the whole time. I mean, I did because we went to a concert and a movie, but it didn't feel like I did. Y'know??

Friday night Cameron and I went to a concert with our friends, Justin and Jenny. The concert was located at the Charleston Music Hall and it was our first time seeing a show there. Loved the small, intimate atmosphere and our third row seats didn't hurt, either. We first discovered Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors two years ago when they were the opening act for needtobreathe. Once again, he did not disappoint.

Saturday was your standard married couple day. Went to the gym, bought a new stove top, ate lunch, visited family members, cleaned the house, had a few friends over for dinner.

Before and After
Shameless shout out - Go see Chuck Smith at Plugs Appliance in West Ashley! :)

Sunday we celebrated Emily's birthday by grabbing an early lunch at Zia and catching a matinee of 50 Shades of Grey at the Terrace Theater....right after church was let out there. Oops. We had a great time giggling like little school girls. The frozen screwdrivers at lunch and champagne during the movie may have had something to do with that. Later that night we celebrated my uncle's bday in Summerville with some delicious homemade shrimp gumbo.
Hope your week is off to a warm start!

Trader Joe's Trip.

Yesterday I made a quick trip to Trader Joe's for some essentials and as usual, wound up with way more in my cart. There's just something about TJ's that makes you want to eat everything in the store.

The cheddar & horseradish chips pack a punch and have serious flavor. The raisin rosemary crisps pair perfectly with pretty much any type cheese or chicken salad. The pastry bites with feta and carmelized onions are an easy app I plan on serving for Cameron and I while we cook our Valentine's Day dinner together.

We've been hooked on rice crackers lately and I've been buying them from Target. The amount that you get in the bag, however, for the price is ridiculous. It may last us 2 days. So I decided to try Trader Joe's out and for $1.99 a bag, they are less expensive and there are way more in the bag. I also bought ghee for my attempt to half-ass the clean eating thing.

Fat Free Greek Vanilla Frozen Yogurt + Chocolate Lava Cakes = Valentine's Day desserts. Keeping the Vday meal easy and delicious! Need to make sure I make it to the gym Saturday morning.

What have you recently discovered at Trader Joe's that you can't live without?

Lane is ONE!

Today is Lane's 1st Birthday!

For those of you who don't know who Lane is, he's my best friend's baby, but I love him like he's my own! We celebrated him turning one last Sunday and his parent's threw a pretty awesome birthday party. We're talking a gourmet grilled cheese food truck, bouncy house, a men's lounge in the garage, and so many adorable details!

Let's start with those adorable details...

I love how she did his monthly pictures by laying him on a calendar.

Our super talented friend, Jen, made his chalkboard sign.

Now on to the fun!

Cake time!

Happy 1st Birthday, Lane!!!
You are so loved!

West Elm is coming to Charleston!

Exciting news, Charlestonians! West Elm is coming to King Street and should be opening up by late Summer!

West Elm is definitely one of my favorite places to shop online for home decor and gifts, and I was super bummed when they announced that they were launching a gift registry after we had gotten married.

If West Elm wanted to give me an unlimited amount of gift cards, here are just a few things I would take home with me.

shelf with drawers

lanterns

rug

coverlet

mirror

Friday Five.

Another Friday is here. Possibly the best day of the week, knowing that the weekend is just hours away. We've got a jam packed next couple of days, which I'm sure will make the weekend fly by.

{one}
I received a sample of the Philosophy Hope in a Jar in the mail recently and tried it out this week. I wanted to love it (it smells AMAZING) but it didn't surpass my beloved Clinique Moisture Surge Intense . I use it twice a day and love how it feels on my face. Just the right thickness and doesn't make me feel greasy.

{two}
Sadly there was a shooting at my alma mater yesterday morning. An apparent murder-suicide between a professor and his ex-wife (thank you to Dana for updating me with the facts!). So senseless. You always see these awful things on the news but never expect it to happen to somewhere so close to your heart. My thoughts and prayers go out to both families.

After all of the talk and excitement about finding a mirror for our living room, I drove all the way (it's somewhat of a hike from where I live) to Hobby Lobby on Wednesday, only to find that all 3 mirrors that they had in stock were damaged in one way or another. So disappointing. The mirror search continues......

{four}
Charleston ladies, I spotted a Kate Spade dress at Marshall's in West Ashley on Wednesday for THIRTEEN DOLLARS. It's a size Large and it does have a small spot or two (probably just a little make-up from someone trying it on and that will most likely come out in the wash). But it's $13!!!

As I mentioned above, we've got a jam packed weekend. It's pretty much all about Lane, and I love it! Tonight we are babysitting sweet Lane while his parents enjoy an oyster roast. Saturday I'll be in the kitchen baking some cookies for Lane's 1st birthday party, then switching my apron for a cocktail dress later in the day, as we'll be celebrating a friend's engagement. Sunday is Lane's 1st birthday party and also one of Cameron's brother's birthdays! We are going to be so pooped Sunday night.
