Wedding Wednesday: Engagement Pictures!

I'm so excited to finally share these pictures with you all! So so happy with how they turned out.

I had been checking the mail like a crazy woman everyday looking for the cd and on Wednesday, it was finally there! I ripped open the envelope to find the cutest package inside.

I was waiting on Cameron to get home so we could go out on the boat, so I quickly uploaded the first 100 to Facebook. I'm kind of crazy like that.

So without further adieu, here are a few a lot of my favorites!

Tasty Tuesday: Sweet Potato Nuggets.

I don't really know the technical term of this recipe, but I do know that I want to eat them everyday.

We had Emily & David over Friday night to grill out and play corn hole and I made these sweet potatoes to accompany our pork tenderloin and corn. Everyone loved them!
Recipe and photo found here.

Preheat oven to 350*
Slice sweet potatoes ~1/2” thick
Lightly coat with olive oil + a sprinkling of salt
Bake for 20min [turning once]
Turn heat to 400*
Bake for ~15-20min more [turning once]

The result? Crunchy outside, soft delicious inside.

Make them tonight!

Weekend, New App & Giveaway Winner!

Happy Memorial Day!

While I am stuck working today, surprisingly, I had both Saturday and Sunday off. I took full advantage and had such a fun weekend!

Saturday we took the boat out with Emily & David and met a group of friends at Morris Island.

Yes, that would be Cameron wearing towel kilt.

The plans for Sunday were originally to go back to Morris Island during the day and then go to a cookout on Goat Island but thanks to the tropical storm that decided to head out way, we decided that may not be a fun ride on the boat. We had no set plans all day and it turned out to be a really good day anyway!

The day was spent with Jason, Jessica and Jacob, and included:
-Lunch at Smokey Oak
-Multiple drinks at the James Island Yacht Club
-Pool party and cookout
-Multiple margarita's on Jason's parents' amazing back porch
-Back to Smokey Oak for one (or two) more drink.

While we were at the pool party / cookout seen in the photos above, we were introduced to a new (to us) app that was pretty hilarious and kept us entertained for almost an hour.

If you're not easily offended, download this app. Some of the captions were a bit vulgar.

Wedding Wednesday: Favorite Wedding Websites.

Although I work in the wedding / event business, and have been a bridesmaid in (27 Dresses status) and attended a large amount of weddings, there are still things I don't know. Lots of things actually.

How should I seat 300 guests at my outdoor ceremony?
Should I do a specialty cocktail?
What percent of my budget should I spend on flowers?

All of the fun stuff that no one thinks about until it's your actual wedding.

So, here is a list of my go-to websites for wedding advice and ideas!
(Click on image to visit website.)

Joelle is an event planner in California and I just recently came across her personal blog. It was perfect timing. She started doing Wedding Wednesday's and her's are basically step by step posts for the entire planning process. If you are recently engaged, I highly suggest you check out her blog! is basically Pinterest just for weddings. I love it because you can browse through specific categories or colors! I also think it's more up to date and classier than some of the stuff I see on Pinterest.

The ultimate wedding website! My favorite feature they do are the real life weddings and ask the brides (and grooms) a handful of questions about their wedding.
Real weddings, DIY projects and more!

Update: How could I forget my favorite Charleston wedding blog?!?!

Any websites that I'm missing and that are must reads??
