I realize that first looks are not for everyone. In fact, when we first started planning the wedding, Cameron was opposed to it, wanting to keep the tradition of seeing me for the first time as I was walking down the aisle. After some convincing by both myself and our photographer, we were all on the same page to do a first look. Our personal reasons were #1 To ease our nerves. We both get extremely anxious and nervous in front of large crowds and being the center of attention and #2 With 300 guests attending the wedding, we wanted as much time as possible to speak to everyone.
Before we did the first look, I sent a card with the photographer for Cameron to read about how excited I was for our special day, etc, etc. I originally was going to let him open his gifts at this point and all of the sudden my photographer said "aren't you giving him a picture??" OMG he almost saw me in my wedding dress before we even did the first look! I clearly had lots going on in my head that day.
SO nervous at this point! PS - Look at all of those gorgeous azaleas!
I love his facial expression in this picture. He was so excited/surprised with what he saw.
That would be me holding orange pom poms. All for the sake of love.
I also gave him cufflinks with our sweet Brady on them so he could be there, too!
Cufflinks found here.
I was excited. He just laughs at me. :)
Obsessed with my bouquet!
Will be back next week with more!
