Trader Joe's Trip.

Yesterday I made a quick trip to Trader Joe's for some essentials and as usual, wound up with way more in my cart. There's just something about TJ's that makes you want to eat everything in the store.

The cheddar & horseradish chips pack a punch and have serious flavor. The raisin rosemary crisps pair perfectly with pretty much any type cheese or chicken salad. The pastry bites with feta and carmelized onions are an easy app I plan on serving for Cameron and I while we cook our Valentine's Day dinner together.

We've been hooked on rice crackers lately and I've been buying them from Target. The amount that you get in the bag, however, for the price is ridiculous. It may last us 2 days. So I decided to try Trader Joe's out and for $1.99 a bag, they are less expensive and there are way more in the bag. I also bought ghee for my attempt to half-ass the clean eating thing.

Fat Free Greek Vanilla Frozen Yogurt + Chocolate Lava Cakes = Valentine's Day desserts. Keeping the Vday meal easy and delicious! Need to make sure I make it to the gym Saturday morning.

What have you recently discovered at Trader Joe's that you can't live without?

  1. Love TJ's! Last time I was in they gave me a sample of mochi. It was so weird, but I loved it. Kind of like ice cream wrapped in rice flour. I'm picking up a box on my next visit.

  2. There are so many things! Currently I have to buy the frozen edamame (a really good and easy snack) and the mini chocolate covered pretzels.

  3. Excellent picks! I am a fan of the frozen Macaroni and Cheese (duh). The turkey meatballs and anything from the cheese area. Ha. I also like the jalapeno cheddar wraps. I also buy grapeseed oil from there as well as regular spices.

  10. I am so sad that the closest TJ's is almost two hours from me! When I'm near it I always pack my insulated bags to stock up, though. Now you've got me wanting to try the rice crackers!

  12. These items sound great! I always get slightly overwhelmed in TJ and end up leaving with chicken fried rice, trader jose beer and random bottles of wine haha! The lava cakes w/greek yogurt sound great for v-day dessert! We're doing a big lunch and brewery tour on vday so that night I want to serve some light apps and dessert - thanks for sharing :)

  13. I'm going to have to try your picks when I go this weekend. I LOVE their Kettle corn (comes in a big pink/white bag). I recently bought their cookie butter cookie sandwiches and they are AMAZING!! Also love their pre-made salads. These are great for an easy to grab light lunch or side dish at dinner. Non food related, I am obsessed with their lavender dryer sheet bags. They are amazing!! And it goes without saying, they always kill it in gorgeous and affordable flowers!

  15. You should totally try the coconut pancake mix if you see it next time. I kind of gave it the side eye for a few trips, but finally bought it last week and ho-lee-crap is it amazing! Now I dream about it.

  18. Definitely the sweet potato, butternut squash and kale pizza!! They had samples out one day and I tried it and so yummy, I bought three. So cheap and easy for a weeknight meal when we both work late or don't have anything in the fridge.

  24. I am going to TJ's tonight and I need to find those rice crackers, they have been my favorite snack lately, but I totally agree most packages have so few chips. My favorite TJ items are their garlic pizza dough and frozen spin art dip. I always keep these in my freezer, great for last minute meals and apps if we have people over.

  25. I love the chocolate covered potato chips but they kind of defeat my purpose of shopping there for healthy food! :) I cannot resist them!
