If you've ever had your scalp burnt, then know you how miserable it is. Normally relaxing things like brushing your hair or taking a hot shower, turn into dreaded chores.
Having light and thin hair, it happens to me often. Using normal spray sunscreen leaves your scalp/hair greasy and sticky, and that is no fun. I'm surprised I've gone 30 years without purchasing an actual scalp sunscreen, but I am about to bite the bullet.
Here are some that I found online that received good reviews.
Let me know if you've tried any, or what your favorite is!
We went to the beach yesterday and I came home with a burnt scalp. Ouch it does hurt! I need to get something for sure. Thanks for these recs!
ReplyDeleteI didn't even know this was a thing - but my scalp gets burned a lot! I may have to try this out soon!

Ive never heard of scalp sunscreen but it TOTALLY makes sense. Even when I have my hair up in a ponytail, there's inevitably a spot that the sun gets! Ill be looking into these too!
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful recommendations -- I usually try to braid or style my hair to avoid having a part that could burn.
ReplyDeleteI really need to pick some of this up! I bet the Shiseido one is good-- they have a solid track record!
ReplyDeleteWait, I had no idea that scalp sunscreen existed?!!? I also burn my scalp- usually right where I part my hair. I'm going to pick up one of these and give it a try.
ReplyDeleteI had no idea this existed!! I always have to change my part throughout the day when I'm out in the sun because my scalp gets burnt so easily! I'll have to give this a try.
ReplyDeleteSo funny you posted this today- About 5 minutes ago I was telling my coworker how my scalp is burnt after watching my some play in baseball All Stars this weekend. We were discussing if this existed or not!! Now we know... I too have light blonde hair!!! Perfect timing Megan.

ReplyDeleteHonestly, I don't really think I even knew that there was dedicated "scalp sunscreen" out there. I need to invest in some for the whole family!

ReplyDeleteScalp burn is the worst - especially when it starts peeling/snowing hah. I need to get some scalp sunscreen, too. Usually I try to remember to dab regular sunscreen along my part using a q-tip, but spray would be way easier!
ReplyDeleteI have the tender scalps and it is like spraying watery lotion on your head, would not recommend. I need to try the others though, my part always gets burned.
ReplyDeleteI didn't even know they made scalp sunscreen!! It's the one part that always gets burnt unless I wear a hat. Definitely running out to get some soon! Thanks for sharing!
