Monday again already?? I guess I'm ok with it because I've got a very busy & exciting week / weekend coming up!
Here's what made our weekend go by so fast this weekend..
Friday night we ate a DELICIOUS dinner at my parents house - salad, ribs, scalloped potatoes & crusty bread. Afterwards, Cameron & my dad smoked a cigar and the girls (me, my mom and sister) played a rowdy game of Phase 10. We're wild, I tell ya.
Saturday Cameron and I ran some errands, which included checking the guest book off of the to-do list and also included me scoring a pair of green skinny jeans from Old Navy for $9! Around 4, we went to James & Holly's wedding celebration and had a blast! There was a band, catering from Hometeam BBQ, hula hoops and super strong margaritas...only I didn't know how strong they were at the time I was drinking them. Woops.
Sunday we went to go pick up a china cabinet from my grandma's friend that is moving to a small apartment and doesn't have enough room for it. I cannot wait to replace the hardware and paint it! Lots of time will be spent on Pinterest today researching colors and painting tips.
Later in the day, of course it was Superbowl time. We went to Cameron's aunt & uncle's house for oysters, chili, wings and lots of apps. I made the salami, cream cheese and pepperoncini roll ups that I posted about on Thursday and they were a big hit! We left during the power outage and watched the rest at home. For someone who really didn't care much about the game, I actually watched the whole thing! Probably because it turned out to be such a close game!
Hope you all had a great weekend!
Yay for the groundhog not seeing his shadow!! Bring it, Spring!
Love the China Cabinet, it looks like its in impeccable shape! Can't wait to see what you do it!

Yeah the 34-minute blackout was apparently just enough time to get from Summerville to Mt P without missing a thing! I left the house apparently seconds before it happened.
ReplyDeleteFun weekend! I cannot wait to see your DIY redo of that cabinet. How fun!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see how the cabinet turns out! It has great bones!
ReplyDeleteWe redid a china cabinet gifted to us and it was really fun! I found the cutest hardware at Hobby Lobby!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a perfect weekend. I'm excited to see how the cabinet turns out!
ReplyDeletePS - we got our schedule for next week and I think Friday night is the best night to meet up. Does that work for you guys? If not, we'll find another time. Our event is Thursday night and I'm not sure what time we get there on Wednesday.
The china cabinet is fabulous! :)
ReplyDeleteOh that china cabinet is going to look so pretty painted. Can't wait to see what you do! My family loves to play Phase 10 as well...and another similar card game called Frustration with regular decks of cards. So fun!
ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous! Thanks to the generosity of my friends and family we were gifted all this crystal and china that I can't display. Everything is still packaged in the boxes sadly sitting in our spare room. R knows that is our first big purchase after the wedding! I can't wait to see how yours turns out.
