Last Sunday, 4 days after Christmas, I turned 30. Some people would be sad about not being in their 20's anymore. Not I. I plan on embracing it! Having a baby face and not "looking" 30 (in my opinion) kind of helps a little with that.
Here's how I celebrated..
Saturday, the day before my birthday, a group of 30 of my closest family and friends ate dinner at Ms. Rose's in West Ashley. They have the perfect room towards the back of the restaurant that can seat large parties. We had two servers and they handled our large, somewhat rowdy crowd perfectly.
Calvin Taylor, who is a buddy of mine and played at our rehearsal dinner, happened to be playing at the restaurant that night so he came in and sang us a few songs!

After dinner, Cameron arranged for a transportation van to take us downtown to the newly renovated Club Trio. Our wedding band was thisclose to playing there that night. It would have been our wedding weekend all over again! Sadly, they did not, but the band that played, Finesse, was almost equally as awesome.

Very impressed and thankful that my two pregnant friends stayed out as late as they did! |

Don't worry, that is a "mocktail" my 8 month pregnant best friend is drinking. :) |
Such a fun night! Thank you to everyone who came out!
On Sunday, we had my family over for chicken bog, salad, and ice cream cake. Not only was it a special day for myself, but it was also a very special day for my Grandma, whose birthday I share. I won't tell you how old she turned, but let's just say that we're 50 years apart.... :)
I am very blessed and look forward to what 30 has in store for me!
