Weekend Recap.

Happy Monday, everyone! Like always, the weekend went by way too fast. Ours was filled with a wedding, boat ride/fishing trip that turned into us being towed back to the marina by Sea Tow, and celebrating my cousin's 22nd birthday.

Here's how it went down..

Saturday we went to a wedding where it was the bride's first marriage and she is 40+. It was so darn sweet! You could just see the love in their eyes. She got a little choked up as she was saying her vows, which of course made my waterworks start flowing.

My fancy look.
I had no idea what I was doing with my hair so I just stuck about 4305834 bobby pins in there and hoped for the best.

First wedding as Mr. and Mrs. Baker

Me and Cameron's sweet, sweet grandfather

Left the wedding and met up with some friends that were at Red's.
These are my tennis peeps.

Sunday morning we woke up bright and early to get on a friend's boat to go tarpon fishing. Let's just say that the fishing Gods were not on our side yesterday. First, we couldn't find any bait big enough after trying for what felt like hours. Then, we ride out past the jetties and pretty much as soon as we get there, the boat breaks down. Owner of the boat thinks it's the fuel pump. Thankfully, he has a Sea Tow membership so we call them....wait for an hour before they show up..meanwhile, everyone is feeling a little queasy due to the big rockin' waves and us being stationary. Then comes the rain.
Finally, we made it back safely.

Somehow, we still made it to my cousin's birthday celebration in Summerville on time. After dinner, we played a family game of Apples to Apples. Let's just say it was...interesting and very entertaining. I'm sure Cameron is wondering what he has gotten himself into, marrying into our crazy family. :)

And that's a wrap!
Here's to a great week!

  6. Your hair looks great! Reminds me I'm due for highlights soon. I've been with friends who've had to call sea tow before and it does take forever! Thank god it's not a dire emergency right?!

  7. Oh no! You were stuck out there! I heard pieces of the story from Cole and Matt, assuming it was the same trip! I'm doubting there's indentical stories from different boats! Glad y'all eventually got back though!
