March Birchbox.

I totally flaked on posting about my February Birchbox so rather than going all into it, I'll tell you my favorite product that I received.

Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant

It is a rice-based powder that microfoliates to leave your skin softer and brighter. Your pour about half a teaspoon into your very wet hands and rub your hands together to create a paste. Massage gently for a minute then rinse with warm water. Voila! Super soft (not dry!) skin.
Probably going to ask my esthetician friend, Alyssa, who has been telling me about Dermalogica for years, to hook me up with a full bottle of this!
Alyssa, are you reading this? :)

Now on to March's box..

Favorite items -

Juice Beauty Blemish Clearing Cleanser - Obviously, since I purchased the full size bottle of it. This cleanser smells so nice and fruity and cleans your skin without drying it out.
However, if you're looking for a foamy, tingly cleanser, this one is not for you.

Ahava Essential Day Moisturizer for Normal to Dry Skin - Even though I tend to think I'm more in the "Oily skin" category, this moisturizer works great on my skin. Before I received my Birchbox, I was starting to notice just how shiny and greasy my face was towards the end of the day. Not cute. I started using this moisturizer and instantly noticed how soft and non-greasy my face was, especially at the end of the day! This is probably my third Ahava product I've tried and they have not let me down yet!

Let me know if you'd like an invite to join Birchbox! Only $10 a month for some amazing(sometimes full sized) samples!

December & January Birchbox.

Birchbox had a slight issue with getting a lot of people's December Birchboxes out on time, but they were very apologetic and even gave us 100 Birchbox points! That's $10 off of a full size product!

Favorite Item: Oscar Blandi dry shampoo. This stuff beats out my $3 Suave dry shampoo any day. It works so well I'm tempted to spend the $25 on it. Hey, I would get $10 off!

Not a fan of: Atelier Cologne in Ambre Nue. Too heavy for me. Just not my style.

Scared to try: Nuxe Multi-Usage Dry Oil Shimmer. #1 - I don't want my body to be shimmery. #2 - If I put it in my hair, it would make it oily 100x faster than it already does.

I can't get this stupid photo to turn the right way. Grr.
Favorite item: ALL OF THEM. Seriously, best box I've gotten so far.

Let's start out with the tasty treat, the Larabar in Carrot Cake. I don't even eat carrot cake at parties, but I scarfed this down instantly.

The Archipelago pomegranate soap smells AMAZING and it doesn't dry out my skin like most bar soaps.

Clark's Botanicals smoothing marine cream is pretty good. I only say pretty good because I do not feel any exfoliation going on, nor do I feel any tingling. Bonus: The initials on the top of the jar are Cameron's. :)

Juicy Couture's signature fragrance is light, sweet and flirty, and the sample even has a little pump on it so you can actually spray it, rather than dab it on your wrist. It's the little things that make me happy, people.

And the grand finale (to me, anyway) is the Stila smudge stick waterproof eyeliner in a shimmery midnight blue color. Eyeliner is my one thing I have to have one before going out in public so I was super pumped about this pick.

November Birchbox.

My November Birchbox arrived right on schedule last Monday! I was pretty happy with the contents.

Maybe I should have put these in the same order as they were listed on the card. Oops.

First thing's first - I'm good with the lipgloss. Every box has had some type of lip stuff in it. I need to change my "beauty profile". This one was probably my least favorite of all of the samples I've received because it was really sticky.

I was kind of excited to try the Supersmile whitening green apple toothpaste. It made my teeth feel really clean and while it had a hint of the green apple taste, it definitely didn't make my breath "fresh," but it doesn't claim to so I'm cool with that. I guess we'll have to wait and see if it actually whitens my teeth.

I really like the Harvey Prince perfume. Very light, and I can still smell a hint of it 5 hours later.

The Zoya nail polish in Holly is the perfect color for Christmastime. But for me, only Christmastime. It's a little too much for me to wear any other time of the year.

The chocolate I really liked! It was a combination of dark chocolate, chipotle and popping candy (like Pop Rocks). First bite - didn't taste the chipotle until after a few seconds. By the time I finished the sample, my mouth was definitely warm. I've always been a big fan of Pop Rocks so I thought that part was fun.

October Birchbox

I received my second Birchbox in the mail over the weekend and I am MUCH more pleased with this one than I was with the last.  Things that I can actually use.

My favorite item of the bunch is the Ahava face wash. It doesn't dry my skin out, making it super soft. I've been using Ahava face lotion, which I got as a sample from Ulta, and really like it, too!

The Befine lip moisturizer came in second place. Makes my lips super soft and gives them a little shine, without being sticky.

First Birchbox + Baby Mama Lunch.

On Tuesday, I received my very first Birchbox! After debating for months about signing up, I finally bit the bullet last month. Last Saturday, I received an email saying that it had shipped! Tuesday after work, voila!, there it was in my mailbox. I immediately ran inside and ripped open the box to see what was inside. Now, I'm not gonna lie. I was a tad disappointed. After seeing what was inside other bloggers' boxes, it wasn't what I expected. Don't get me wrong, there were a few things in the box that I couldn't wait to try, but some of the things I was like "really??" I'm hoping next month's is better (even though this box was supposed to be super awesome because it was their 1 year anniversary box!).

If you are signed up for Birchbox, did you get anything different in your box? What did you think of this month's box?

Yesterday was a very busy and exciting day for me! First of all, I was at the grocery store at 7:45am. On my day off. That is just weird for me. But I can never fall back asleep once Cameron is up and moving and getting ready for work! So I went to the grocery store and did all my boring errands. Went home, attempted to sew curtains for my laundry room with the leftover fabric from my pillows. That was....interesting. Thank goodness my mom still had her instruction booklet for the sewing machine. The sewing machine kept messing up (totally it's fault, not mine), plus I was running out of time so I gave up. Dropped the sewing machine back off at my parents house, along with the curtains so my mom can finish them. :)

For lunch, I met up with Leslie, Becca, and their babies! It was Leslie's 28th birthday so I wanted to get her out of the house and treat her to lunch. All throughout her pregnancy, Leslie could not WAIT to eat sushi again. So that's what we did - ate sushi at Wasabi in Summerville. Just so happens that Becca lives right behind Wasabi so it worked out perfectly!

Davis and Emilee could not have been any cuter or quiet. They were angels. Emilee slept the entire time and Davis woke up hungry about halfway through our lunch. That boy is going to be a soccer player. Mark my words. He kicks so much!

I did not want to leave them and can't wait for my next baby mama date!
