Before I got
engaged, I always liked to see posts on gift ideas for the wedding
parties. And once I got engaged, I created a "note" on my phone where I
could save gift ideas as they popped in my head. My bridesmaids are getting one, kind of two, of these, but I can't spill the beans on which one(s) yet!
-Necklace or earrings to wear the day of the wedding, and after.
-Solemates to wear on their high heels for those outside weddings!
-Monogrammed pashmina from Marley Lilly in case of a chilly evening.
-A cute clutch to keep lipgloss near by! Or your drivers license in case you get ID'ed halfway through the wedding reception like me! :)
-Any girl would love a monogrammed necklace!
-Monogrammed handkerchief to fold around the bottom of their bouquets and to keep afterwards.
-Monogrammed Tervis Tumbler, because you can never have too many tumblers!
Notice a trend? :)
For the married ladies, what did you give your bridesmaids?
For those of yall who have been bridesmaids before, what has been your favorite gift you've received?
I had lots of the same ideas and I'm sorta doing one of them. Don't want to spill the beans as some of my girls may read your blog! ;)
ReplyDeleteI love all of your ideas! Would be awesome to receive any of these!
ReplyDeleteI did the monogrammed pashminas and my girls loved them! I also did monogrammed Lilly tumblers and monogrammed white button downs for them to wear while we got ready.
ReplyDeleteI love all these ideas! I gave my girls a burlap tote bag (fitting because we used so much burlap in the wedding) monogrammed with their first initial. The bag included: a sewing kit, orbit gum, water bottles, and matching earrings. My mom is very handy with a sewing machine and made the bags for me; mother-in-law asked if she got one too (oops!). The girls loved them and could carry all their wedding needs with them that day.
ReplyDeleteOK, Megan. I need a post on groomsman's gifts. Have you and Cameron decided on those??
ReplyDeleteSuch sweet ideas! I gave my girls monogrammed Tervis tumblers and each a different piece of personalized jewelry {ex: my sister-in-law got a necklace with a dainty sterling silver camera charm, since she's a photographer!}. No matter what you give your bridesmaids, personalizing it somehow is always the best way to go :) I didn't want my girls to think I just picked up a handful of the same thing at the store, without thinking of them individually.
ReplyDeleteI love these ideas! I've only got two bridesmaids, so I'm haping I'll be able to find them something really special!
ReplyDeleteYou made some fine points there. I did a search
ReplyDeleteon the
theme and found the majority of
persons will agree with your blog.

I did monogrammed robes. Seems like a lot of girls are doing those these days, but I loved the idea of us all being dressed alike in our getting ready pictures. I think it really made those pictures extra special, they are some of my favorites. I'm actually going to be blogging about my bridesmaids gifts later today. Check my post out at ReedyRiverRecessionista.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteLove the idea of the monogramed Tervis Tumblers! I also have had friends who have done like year-subscriptions to People or US Weekly Magazine, or Nars Lipgloss & a piece of jewelry. Your picks are great!
ReplyDeleteLove all the monogrammed ideas! It's always great to get a personalized BM gift. Although, I will tell you I bought Solemates for my outdoor wedding and they were a complete bust! I had so much hope! I splurged on fancy heels and everything. No help at all and my heel even got stuck going out the wrong end somehow and I still was sinking in the ground. Complete waste of money! Go with wedges for the girls and just don't rest on your heels too much during vows (if you're outside)
ReplyDeleteThe best bridesmaid gift that I received was a silver 'Return to Tiffany' heart tag toggle bracelet engraved with my monogram. It was definitely a very generous gift!
ReplyDeleteFun post! And I was just about to write about my sister's awesome bridesmaid gifts but see that she beat me to the punch (Reedy River Recessionista, comment above). Those short waffle-weave monogrammed robes were just so cute -- pink with our monograms in white. It made for fun photos. I also had a girlfriend to give us gold clutches - her jewelry-designer mom embellished each one with a different brass charm or metal piece on the front.
ReplyDeleteI gave my bridesmaids mercury glass jewelry holders from Anthro and vintage floral hankies!
I love the ideas that you have here. The Tervis Tumbler is cute. I got mine a personalized notepad, two personalized makeup bags, a plastic tumbler with a straw with their initial and favorite color in dots on it, and then I got them the earrings that they wore for the wedding. I think they liked them. :) I've never seen those solemates things.
ReplyDeleteMonogrammed anything is fab! I actually received a pair of Revas for a BM gift so we could "dance the night away". Unreal!
ReplyDeleteWe would be lucky to have anything! You're always so thoughtful and creative, sissy.
ReplyDeleteLove these ideas!! I did Minogrammed silver jewelry trays and stationery. Kids received llbean totes and backpacks monogrammed. The best i recd was a navy tote with initial-my dave color combo.
ReplyDeleteGreat ideas!!!
