Tasty Tuesday - Dark Chocolate Avocado Mousse.

Don't be afraid by the title. Apparently this healthy little snack tastes just like brownie batter! I haven't tried it yet, but next time I go to the grocery store I'm picking up an avocado. Let me know if you try it and your thoughts!

Dark Chocolate Avocado Mousse
Recipe and Photo from Julie at Peanut Butter Fingers!

1 ripe avocado, skin and pit removed
3 1/2 tablespoons dark chocolate cocoa powder
3 1/2 tablespoons honey

Place avocado and dark chocolate cocoa powder in food processor. Add honey.

Process avocado, cocoa powder and honey for approximately one minute, pausing to scrape the sides, or until a thick, smooth mousse forms.

Spoon mousse into a small bowl, top with slivered almonds, fresh fruit or chocolate chips and enjoy.

Note: You may simply add more cocoa powder and honey if you prefer more chocolate or sweetness!

  1. 3 ingredients and tastes like brownie batter? I'm in...do you think a blender would work instead of a food processor or are they different? I'm so clueless!

  2. That combination sounds a little scary but could definitely work. Can't wait to hear how it turns out.

  3. I've seen this recipe but have been too afraid to try it. I do love avacado and chocolate though (separtley)!

  4. I'm going to have to give this one a try. You always share the best sounding recipes!

  5. Whoa!!! I saw the title and was like what?!? I'm a huge chocolate lover and I love avocado so this is the best of both worlds..I'll def be trying this!

  6. That is the craziest looking thing I have ever seen! haha Very cool, and totally healthy :)!

  7. This sounds totally strange but I am 100% trying it!!

  8. Interesting....you'll have to post about it if you try it.
