Thursday's Thoughts.

A little shot of randomness today...

-Tonight Cameron and I are trying out Co for the first time, then going to the Charleston Classic basketball tournament at the College of Charleston. South Carolina is playing Cornell. We don't ever watch basketball, but I will always support the Gamecocks and hey, the tickets are free.

-In an hour, I'm going to get my hair done. And I have no clue what I want to do with it. But I do know that I am sick of the stringy, limp, straight hair I was born with. If only I come out looking like Cheryl Cole. #hopingforamiracle

-As an update to No Spend November. I feel like I've done pretty well! However, last weekend we had people over for an oyster roast and I bought two decorative items for the house. Atleast I haven't bought any clothes though!

-Speaking of that oyster roast, it was so much fun and I've got to admit, we had a pretty sweet set up.

Brady watching Curious George with Baby D

-Last night I had a delicious meal planned out, broke the news to Cameron that we'd be eating a meatless meal, then went to go cook it and realized we didn't have a key ingredient. Major fail. So, I convinced him to let me cook breakfast for dinner (pretty sure he's the only person ever that doesn't like breakfast for dinner). I whipped together some Greek style omelets (feta, tomato, spinach and mushrooms) with some cheesy grits and turkey bacon. So freaking good.

K bye!

What I've Been Up To..

- I am officially a blog slacker.

-Last week I met up with some of my favorite blogger buds for some drinks and nibbles at Pearlz! It was so much fun talking about everything under the sun with them, and I can't wait to meet up again soon!
Ally, Cait, Shelby, me, Ashley
-I saw this cute little guy on the way home from work last Friday. How adorable (and rare)!!

-Saturday night we went out to celebrate Kelly Anne's 30th birthday! We started at Warehouse for dinner and drinks, followed by some bar hopping. I probably never would have eaten here if it were just Cameron and I, but I am so glad our plans changed last minute and we ate here instead of Taco Boy. Everything was amazing!

Red Lentil Hummus

Deviled eggs with fried oysters and some kind of pea concoction

-Fourteen of us (the supper club group) booked a house on Edisto for the first week of September and we are SO pumped. I cannot wait for early morning walks on the beach with a cup of coffee in my hand, long days of laying and playing out on the beach, and making memories with the best of friends.

Randomness.

Here's a good ol' fashioned brain dump for you on this chilly Wednesday.

-I realized last night that I forgot to post this week's meal plan. So here you go!

Tuesday - Pioneer Woman's perfect pot roast (it really was perfect)

Wednesday - Chicken yakisoba

Thursday - Chicken scallopini

Friday - Palmetto Society's oyster roast
(Any of you going??)
Saturday - Megan in Columbia for USC vs. Coastal game
Sunday -  Supper Club Friendsgiving!

----------

-I saw these decorative Christmas trees in Target last weekend and was tempted to buy. But then I realized how freaking easy it would be to make them. Shelby - craft and wine night soon?

-So, I have this chaise lounge that is currently being stored in our junk room because there's nowhere else to put it. It is so comfortable, and the fact that it's from my grandma makes me love it even more. It's a creamy white and almost has a light snake skin print on it. I came across this photo on Instagram the other day and thought everything about it was gorgeous - the chaise, curtains, pillows, everything! Will definitely be saving this as inspiration for our next house where the chaise lounge WILL be used.

Friiiiiiiiday.

Happy Friday before Christmas! I still have a few small things to pick up to complete my gifts but you better believe I will NOT be going to the mall or Target.

This is somewhat of a last weekend (ok, just Sunday) recap post since I never got around to it this week.

Went to brunch on Sunday at Fat Hen. I had one of the top 5 best sandwiches of my life! It was the "PULLED BBQ DUCK SANDWICH with house made BBQ sauce, blue cheese bacon cole slaw and pomme frites."

Then, Emily and I went to our friend Stephanie's house for her 2nd annual Cookie Exchange! This year everyone brought sugar cookies and decorated them at her house.

Later that night, as if I wasn't emotional enough from the horrific Newtown events, I watched The Bachelorette wedding of Ashley & JP. I could not keep it together! That, my friends, is a tear catcher placed across my face.
I can't believe I just posted this awful picture of me.
What's on your agenda this weekend?
Saturday is shopping and a Christmas party and Sunday we're going to a friend's baptism of his son and celebrating our engageiversary!

Thursday Tidbits.

Happy Thursday, everyone!

Some random happenings that have been going on this week...

-Brady had a play date with Bennett, Gracie, Landon & Mickey on Tuesday and he was in Heaven.
We stopped by Katie's house afterwards and I totally forgot she had a cat. Brady hadn't been around a cat since he was a pup so I was nervous that he was going to attack sweet Sophie! Luckily, he didn't. He did, however, make her super nervous because he was so interested in her. She lives with two dogs and they don't pay her any attention.
-I'm in full blown pumpkin mode. I've made pumpkin bread, crockpot pumpkin spice lattes, and last Sunday I made pumpkin french toast. Yeah bubba.
Also on the pumpkin front, I made a random trip to Wally World yesterday and walked out with a $5 BHG pumpkin spice candle and some Bailey's pumpkin spice coffee creamer. I like the Bailey's version over the Coffee Mate version b/c it isn't over the top sweet.

-Tuesday night I started my first wedding project! Ribbon drink stirrers! I followed this super easy tutorial and made them as I was sippin' on a white russian and watching Dancing with the Stars. Successful evening.

Off to eat lunch with Cameron & his Grandma, then on to work!

Chicken pita and fried pickles!

Emilee's 1st birthday party tomorrow (already?!?) and a work wedding for the sweeeeetest bride! Can't wait!

I know I shouldn't wish the weekend away but I am just so excited about next week! My first dress fitting and a week from today we'll be in Wrightsville Beach, NC! (An explanation of why I'm going so dang early on my bach party will be told on Wednesday.)

Have a great weekend, friends!

Friday Five.

TGIF! And I'm off all weekend! Woohoo!

#1 - Matthew McConaughey announced on July 4th that he and his wife, Camila Alves, are expecting baby #3! He's all ripped and learned all of these stripper moves for Magic Mike. Talk about coincidental timing! ;)

#2 - Yesterday I didn't have to be at work until 3pm, so Emily and I took a trip downtown to find myself a dress for my bachelorette party (which is only a month away!!). I didn't really want to spend a ton of money on a dress I'd most likely only wear once, so I wound up finding it at Forever 21!

#3 - Also picked up a few other things that I could wear to work and play!

#4 - The plan for tomorrow is boating, of course! Thinking of switching up our normal beergaritas for cherry beergaritas!

#5 - Cameron and I have been trying to decide on a rug to go under our dining room table for quite a while now and we finally agreed on one from Ballard Designs. Some of the items from BD is pricey, but we got this rug for a steal! Plus free shipping & 10% off!
We went with the one third from the top.

Enjoy your weekend, friends!
