If you follow me on Instagram, then you've probably seen some of these delicious photos below from experimenting with the four companies that I'm going to tell you about.
These four boxed meal companies are all the rage lately. Perfect for busy mom's on the go or novice home cooks who want to expand their palates and/or cooking skills.
I really love this concept because it saves me so much time trying to figure out what I'm going to cook for dinner that week and rounding up all of the ingredients at the grocery store. I also love that each recipe comes with each individual ingredient portioned out to exactly how much you will need. No wasting that leftover cilantro that you need once and will likely go bad before the next time you use it. The ingredients are always super fresh and very high quality, as well.
Simply sign up, select your menu choice(s) and delivery date, and a well-insulated box shows up on your doorstep on your selected date!

I can honestly say that we enjoyed all of our meals! If I had to choose the box that was our favorite, Cameron and I both agreed that we liked the meals from Hello Fresh and Home Chef the best.

I've heard great things about all of those services. So glad you enjoy them, the meals look delicious! Not having to grocery shop sounds like the best part, haha! Thanks for the info, have a great day!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun endeavor to take on...rating all of these companies and getting to eat the delicious food in the meantime! I've always been curious about these companies so maybe I'll try one of the ones you recommended!
ReplyDeleteI still need to try plated! I'm really shocked with how reasonably priced these companies are. I know our dinner for 2 last night cost $24 so I'd actually be saving a few dollars.
ReplyDeleteAlly - Life as I know it
Thanks for the comparisons I have always wanted to try one of these, but I never knew which one to try first. Now I kind of want to try them all. So fun!
ReplyDeleteI love that you tested all these. The Hello Fresh meals look the most like fully composed meals - protein, starch, veggie where the others look like one-pot or bowl meals. If that makes sense. Haha!
ReplyDeleteI use Home Chef and they do provide fully composed meals = protein, start and veggies. Each meals comes with a meal card (three hole punched) with instruction and photos of each step along the way.
DeleteI love that you've tried all the companies! Very neat!! I think Hello Fresh definitely looks the best but I'd try Plated and Blue Apron for sure!
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed Hello Fresh! :)
ReplyDeleteSuper interesting! I've got to try one of these companies!
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting to try spaghetti squash, yours' looks delish!
ReplyDeleteThis all looks so, so good. I'm horrible about letting fresh food/ingredients go to waste, especially now that cooking for one is just annoying, but I'm glad you compared all of these because I'll totally refer to this later I bet ;)
ReplyDeleteWe love Blue Apron and Plated, we order them frequently! I am going to have to try Hello Fresh soon! Xo, Stephanie
ReplyDeleteThrough a friend we have tried Homechef and we are loving it. Their meals are easy to fix, light where we feel energized after it not tired, and we find the variety great. Their steak is more tender than the ones in restaurants. Most importantly, our kids are giving a try to some new meals. Will have to try Hello Fresh one day.
ReplyDeleteI have tried Blue Apron and just signed up to try Hello Fresh. Thanks for the idea to try more than one!
ReplyDeleteI am so torn... I can't decide whether to try Hello Fresh or Plated
ReplyDeleteCheaper to buy & fix yourself, in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteTry Home Chef!#!, I love it
