Confession: I've never had more than one bite of salmon. Until last night. Cameron and I are trying to eat healthy and low carb (during the week, anyway) and he suggested that I buy some salmon for dinner and that I would like it. I reluctantly bought some, made it last night, and {gasp!} I actually liked it! Hate it when he's right.
We spinkled a little salt and pepper on it and a little pat of butter and then baked it. Made a sauce out of light sour cream, dill, lemon juice and capers to put on top. YUM.
And here's the next recipe I want to try:
Honey-Teriyaki Salmon from Skinnytaste
So tell me, friends, what is your FAVORITE salmon recipe??
You crack me up! What about salmon tacos?!
ReplyDeleteBrown sugar, spicy mustard, and cayenne glaze. Grilled on cedar planks. Boom!

ReplyDeleteGiada's Broiled Salmon is the BEST recipe to convert people into Salmon lovers! I always broil my Salmon now. I also throw on Trader Joe's Soyaki sauce/Island Soyaki sauce. Yummy!
This looks wonderful. I have to admit - I'm with you, never had a taste of salmon, and I am a total beach gal... I'm just used to my fish being white. Glad you liked it, maybe I should try it out too!
ReplyDeleteWe are not big salmon fans but Trey will devour his mom's salmon patties. They're apparently like crabcakes but with salmon and she gets them really crispy on a griddle!?
ReplyDeleteWow the sauce you put on the salmon sounds so great! I love salmon...but never cook it for some reason. Ive heard that if you mix maple syrup with a little mustard and bake the salmon with the spread on it, that it's very good!
ReplyDeleteUgh, that's the worst. T keeps trying to get me to get salmon instead of Tilapia.. I haven't budged yet, but maybe???
ReplyDeleteThis sounds great! I love salmon and my favorite is with a brown-sugar bourbon glaze my dad makes! I'll have to get him to try and convert it into an actual recipe sometime to share on the blog!
ReplyDeletewow that looks delicious and I'm not a fan of salmon. I might have to try that out. Also, I just found your blog and can I say, I love your title ... I love me some pickles :)
ReplyDeleteI love salmon! When I need to fix dinner quickly and I have nothing in mind; I pull out the George Foreman, sprinkle lemon pepper on our salmon and cook it for about 6 minutes! Easy and delicious!
ReplyDeleteI love salmon! A really easy way to take away any fishy taste is to pick up Chef Paul's seasoning. It's typically near the seafood area and it's a-mazing! My favorite simple way to spruce up salmon.
ReplyDeleteThat looks delicious.. I have only tried salmon a few times and wasn't a fan of it, I need to try it again!!
