I struggle every morning to find something to wear to work. I'm over all of my dresses and my go-to ankle pants. While browsing on Pinterest, I noticed that I was drawn to all of these outfits with tight black pants - not black jeans, not leggings, but pants. I immediately went to J.Crew to begin my search of these pants and came across a pair of pants that they dubbed "Pixie pants." Then I immediately had a heart attack because I knew I could never spend $98 on a pair of pants that I wasn't even sure I would wear in reality.
Quickly went to the J.Crew Factory website, found a similar pair called "Gigi Five-Pocket Pant" and they were still pretty pricey at $82.50.
And then Tar-jay saved the day. After a quick search on their website, I came across a similar pair for $27.99! Holler! I know, I know, the quality won't even begin to compare, but I scooped that pair up at Target last week and wore them to work last Friday and I must say, I've liked what I have been seeing so far! They are so comfortable and can be dressed up with heels or dressed down with a pair of riding boots.
Bonus - they aren't see through if your shirt doesn't cover your bum!
The Target ones do look pretty heinous in the picture, but I promise they are so much cuter and better fitting in real life!
I'm heading to Target this am will be on the look out for those pants!!!
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting to get a pair of the Pixie pants and didn't even know the factory store had a similar option. Target pants never seem to fit me right unfortunately. I'm a big fan of those black pants though!
ReplyDeleteI love the J. Crew "Minnie" pants - the outlet has a knock off called the "Winnie." They may be a little bit pricy but I have had mine for 3 years and they have held together so well. I wear them almost every day with flats, boots, blouses, you name it!!

ReplyDeleteGap's straight leg pants are the best. I have 3 pairs and they run true to size. You can get them for $35 a pair when they do their 30% off deals (like every other week)!

ReplyDeleteI have a different version of the pixie pant's from jcrew factory from last year, and they are like scuba pants that suck everything in. They are great, but I wouldn't wear them to the office - a little too form fitting for work for me! But I agree with you, I love a black pant!
ReplyDeleteI love my black stretch pants. I always feel inappropriate wearing leggings to work, so these are a perfect solution. Glad you got the Target pair, too. You never know how long these things will be in style, so no need to spend a fortune!

ReplyDeleteI have a pair of Marisa pants that I got on a great sale from Loft last year that look just like that! I'm obsessed with them - they're great quality! Keep a lookout for a good sale there (I remember they were around 50% off) - I bet you'd love them too!
