RTR Wedding Attire.

As I've previously mentioned, Cameron's brother, Gil, is getting married this weekend! I debated and debated on whether I should spend money on renting a dress I'll only get to wear once or spend even more money on buying a dress I'll maybe wear three times. I've already pretty much worn every dress in my bff Emily's closet, so that wasn't an option.

But when I received an email from Rent the Runway offering $50 off a $75 purchase, my mind was made up. The $20 credit I already had also helped.  Bringing a dress, earrings and bangles to a miniscule $33, which included shipping & insurance!!

While this dress didn't receive the most votes, it still got quite a few 2 and it's been my favorite ever since that post.

So..here is what I'll be wearing on Saturday!

Nine West Rocha Nude Pumps

Don't worry, Michaele, I'll be wearing the dress you let me borrow to the rehearsal dinner! :)

Hair.

Thanks to my homegirl, Kady, I've got a new haircut and no more disgusting black roots! :)

I posted this pic last week as my inspiration and while it's not as dark as her's, by choice, and not as voluminus, not by choice, mine looks very similar!

What do you think?
(Sorry about the always crappy Blackberry pics and the bathroom shots! I'll get some better pics this weekend!)

How Pinteresting!

Pinterest finds that caught my eye this week..

Tasty Tuesday - Autumn Chopped Salad.

If you are on Pinterest, there is a strong possibility that you've seen this recipe. If not,  you're in for a tasty treat.

Autumn Chopped Salad
Found here.

6 to 8 cups chopped romaine lettuce
2 medium pears, chopped
1 cup dried cranberries
1 cup chopped pecans
8 slices thick-cut bacon, crisp-cooked and crumbled
4 to 6 oz. feta cheese, crumbled
(I added some shredded chicken to ours since we were eating it for dinner)
Poppy seed Salad Dressing
Balsamic Vinaigrette

On a large platter, combine the lettuce, pears, cranberries, pecans, bacon and feta cheese. Drizzle generously with poppy seed dressing, followed by some of the balsamic vinaigrette. (I would estimate that I used about a cup of dressing: 70 percent poppy seed dressing and 30 percent balsamic vinaigrette) If you prefer your salad to have more dressing, feel free to experiment with the combination.

Fight like a girl.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month.
This is my parent's house, which is lit up hottttttt pink in memory of my Aunt Sharlene (Dad's sister) who passed away 6 years ago from breast cancer.

We miss you and think of you everyday! :)

Thursday's Thoughts.

-Getting my hair cut and colored today after work - yay!
In my dreams, it would look like this afterwards (but slightly lighter in color):

-Tomorrow night, I'm going to meet up with my old soccer bud, Lindsay, and her hubby for a little while at Hometeam BBQ to hang out and listen to their friend's band! Excited!

-I can't believe it, but I won that Sweet Tea Paperie giveaway I posted about last week from Katie at Keep Calm & Carry On!
Here is what I picked:
But in this print..

-So excited for this weekend! Going to the Carolina / Auburn game with Emily, Caroline and Emily's husband! Nothing gets me more pumped up (and stressed out) than Gamecock football! Cameron will actually also be up there, but for his brother's bachelor weekend. Oh lawd.
Throwback pic! After the Carolina / Auburn game 2006!
-Gil (Cameron's brother) and Nancy's wedding is next weekend! Can't believe it's already here!

How Pinteresting.

Linking up with Michelle from The Vintage Apple again to show you my latest favorite pins!

Where can I find this dress??
Duh. Why didn't I think of that?
Think I can make this with paint chips.
I've been saving my wine bottles to make these for Christmastime.
I have a chaise lounge that my Grandmother gave me and it is SO comfortable. It's currently hiding in the junk room, but Cameron, see how good it could make the house look?? :)

I would like this outfit, please and thank you.
