Thursday's [Quick] Thoughts.

-Saturday we had our first official Sandbar Sunday of 2016! Not quite warm enough to take those cover ups off, but sunny enough to need 30 SPF! This was Gus' second time on the boat, but first full day and he did great! Loving the pic below that my friend Caroline took.

-Somehow I rallied Sunday night and stayed up way past my bedtime to see Will Hoge at the Pour House. This show was different than the other shows I've seen of his. This one was an all acoustic show! While I prefer to see him with his full band, this was a nice change.

-This weekend we'll spend cleaning the house and getting the yard ready for our 4th annual Mother's Day brunch

-Also around the house, Cameron is determined to give our screened porch a face lift prior to Mother's Day. We've ordered new patio furniture, and he is in the process of re-screening and painting the porch. After that, he wants to put outdoor tile down over the concrete floor. He's got a lot of work to do!

-This post was pretty lame and short, but that's all I've got for now! post signature

Slacker.

I'M NOT PREGNANT. Apparently in Bloglovin,' the picture is the pumpkins below of a FRIEND'S ANNOUNCEMENT. Just wanted to clarify that. #postfail

It's been a little quiet around here the past few days and for that, I apologize. Between my computer being messed up at work and wanting to go into hibernation now that the weather is cooling off, I haven't really been super inspired or motivated.
I'm not even going to bother with posting our dinner menu this week because I will only be cooking two nights...and last night's dinner wasn't even tasty enough to post about.

So let's talk about what's been going on lately..

Hmm..Cameron's cousin's wife welcomed a healthy baby boy into the world yesterday!

Our friends, Kate and Grant, announced that they are due with a little one in April.

April also announced that she also has a bun in the oven! When she ordered decaf coffee during our farmers market date, it didn't even cross my mind! And I am usually on top of those kinds of things.

Emily, Caroline, Katie and I are going on our annual fair trip on Thursday. Free admission tickets and free ride tickets = more money for fried food of all kinds!

Saturday night my sister and friend, Lyndsey, went to see Will Hoge at the Music Farm! Can't even remember how many times I've seen him but it was an awesome show, as always! He always stays after his shows to sign autographs and talk to his fans, which is pretty neat.

 That's all for now folks!

Friday Loves.

Happy Friday!!
I am so glad the weekend is just 8 hours away! Well, technically my weekend will start at 10:30pm tonight since I have an event, but I don't have an event tomorrow or Sunday which makes me VERY happy!

Tomorrow morning I'm going to a baby shower for Cameron's cousin's wife then heading to the fair with my favorite group of girls!

Here are some of the things that have made me happy this week...

-These beauties (in taupe) are being delivered to me today. I hope I can pull them off!

-First fire of the Fall/Winter 2013 season! Not much is better than sitting by the fire with a glass of wine, snuggled up to your sweetie, watching tv (or reading a book - but that's not me).

-Beautiful sunsets on the way to work.

-Will Hoge being nominated for the Song of the Year Award on the CMA's for writing the song "Even if it Breaks Your Heart." He didn't win, but the fact that he was nominated is awesome!! Also just found out that Lady Antebellum is recording one of his songs and it may be on their next album! So exciting!!!

-This sweet picture of Marcus Lattimore. He seems to be in good spirits despite his injury and that makes me so happy for him! :)

What are yall getting into this weekend??

Exciting weekend up ahead!

Ok, I know it's only Tuesday but this weekend is going to be a fun one!

[ Friday Night ]

WILL HOGE. Ummm only my favorite singer! I believe this will be my 6th time seeing him. Can't really remember. This show will be at the Windjammer and last time I saw him there, I knew the sound guy so I got to watch the show from the VIP area / Green Room! Anyone else from Charleston going??
My view
pretty happy at this point.

[ Saturday Night ]

Second Annual Concert for Chase.

From the invite on Facebook -

"You are cordially invited to come out and enjoy the best live local music in the Carolinas, while supporting an excellent cause. A Concert for Chase II will feature The Occasional Milkshake ( Mark Bryan of Hootie & the Blowfish, Hank Futch of the Blue Dogs, and Gary Greene of Cravin' Melon) w/ The Otis Campbell Band, and Not So Serious, as well as some very special guests! All proceeds from the event will be going to the Chase Towne Fund / Neuroblastoma Research.

Chase Towne is the 23-month-old son of Charleston locals Chuck and Christine Towne. On April 20th, 2009, Chase was diagnosed with stage 4 Neuroblastoma. He has completed 14 months of surgeries, chemotherapy and hospitalizations including bone marrow retrievals and countless clinic visits at MUSC Childrens’ Hospital. He continues to go for monthly clinic visits and scans. If you would like to learn more about this beautiful little boy and his brave fight against cancer, then visit his website at http://www.carepages.com/carepages/CHASETOWNE."

The Towne's go to Cameron's parent's church and run the local hardware store on Johns Island. Super nice people (even if they are Clemson fans....). Last year was really fun (too much fun for a Sunday) and Darius made a surprise appearance! Hoping that will happen again on Saturday.

[ Sunday ]

Ava's 1st birthday party! Ava is my cousin's daughter and she is the cutest thing! Ava was born in California while Sam's husband was stationed out there. We didn't get to meet Ava until she was about 4 months old!
Holding Ava for the first time. Please excuse the Christmas-morning-just-rolled-out-of-bed-look.
And [ TONIGHT ] is Supper Club aboard the Major Motion! I feel bad because everyone has cooked gourmet meals and I just went to Costco. But hey, that's about all I can handle for a boat ride.
