Loving.

Goooood morning, friends! It's going to be a GREAT day and a FUN weekend!
Tonight we are going to my parents house for a relaxed dinner and back porch sittin' (and drinkin') and tomorrow we are celebrating a sweet couple's wedding that took place in December. They had a small-ish wedding in North Carolina and wanted to have a big, rowdy celebration in Charleston once they got settled into married life. So celebrate, we will!

Other than a fun weekend planned, here are some other things I've been loving this week:

-Miss Jenny's Pickles! I was contacted by someone at Miss Jenny's Pickles saying they loved my pickle-loving blog and wanted to send me some of their pickles to try! I emailed her back immediately and said "yes, please!" So glad I did because they are delicious! I kindly requested the dill pickles and not the bread and butters ones and my request was granted. I was sent the salt & pepper pickles, along with the jalepeno salt & pepper pickles! The jalepeno ones had a little too much of a kick for me, but Cameron and my dad loved them! I think they would be really good fried though!! The pickles are tasty, have no preservatives or additives, are supa fresh.
Sadly for us Charleston girls, the closest location to buy these pickles is on Pawley's Island, but they do give you the option to purchase online!

-Receiving RSVP's in the mail!! One of the most exciting aspects of wedding planning is when you start to receive RSVP's back in the mail! I LOVE coming home every day, checking the mail and finding a stack of mini envelopes in the mailbox!

-Along with finding those mini envelopes in the mail, it is so fun to read the little comments on guests' response cards! The winner of the best response card (so far) goes to my very own Matron of Honor, Emily!

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Mark & Graham + A Special Holiday.

Almost every day, a catalog shows up in my mailbox. Most of them get skimmed through and end up in the trash recycling bin. But yesterday, a new catalog caught my eye. A company by the name of Mark & Graham.
After visiting their website, I realized that they were a sister site of Pottery Barn, West Elm and William Sonoma! No wonder I liked them! :)

Here are some of my favorite items that would be great to give or great to receive!

Let's celebrate by making/ordering some fried pickles!

These are the two types that are always in my fridge...

And these when I'm feelin' sassy..

Tell me, what are your favorite kind of pickles??

Scenes from the Weekend.

What a long, fun and tiring weekend!

Friday night, Cameron and I layed low, knowing that Saturday was going to be a big day on the boat. Tried out a new restaurant (not really good enough to tell you about), then came back home and watched a movie. Well, Cameron watched and I fell asleep.

Saturday, Cameron's friend, James, came into town from Savannah and we got to meet his girlfriend for the first time! James got almost all the way to Charleston and realized he left his wallet at home. Oops. 2 trips to Charleston later, we were all finally on the boat together!

Christina shared her pickles with me and I shared my Cherry Beergarita! It was yummy!
After some Maria's and a shower, we all made our way downtown. I honestly don't know how we all made it. I know I was super tired. BUT! I'm glad I did because I got to see my lil' sis and a group of sorority sisters!

Needless to say, Sunday was a relax and detox kind of day. Got lunch at Groucho's, Cameron watched a movie, and I worked on a project!
Even Brady was tired.

What did you do this weekend??

Happy hour and fried pickle date with Lindsay at Fat Hen last week!

Perfect weather for back porch dinners.

Frozen yogurt treats.

My sweet guys.
And last, but certainly not least, this awesome video to get us Gamecock fans pumped up for the 2012 football season!

Friday night at work = random post.

Have a rehearsal dinner going on upstairs right now so I didn't have to be at work until 3:30pm, which was nice. The internet was down from about 5-6pm and when it came back up - BAM! No Facebook and no Hulu. My two go-to websites for event nights. Now what the HECK am I supposed to do during my events?? Luckily, I can still read blogs and get on Pinterest..and I can always get on Facebook and watch ABC shows on my phone. It's just not the same though..

So in order to pass a few minutes of the last two hours I have here, a few random thoughts on my mind...

-Today marks the ONE YEAR countdown until I marry my favorite guy in the world!!
source
-My mom and I met with the caterer today, which made me even more excited about the countdown! Wedding Wednesday post to come soon about that!

You KNOW these will be on the menu!
-Speaking on delicious green niblets, these were on my desk today when I got to work!
German pickles! Vielen dank! (The translator tells me that means thank you.)
-Yesterday I had the bright idea to volunteer to babysit on my day off. Little did I know when I volunteered that it was from 7am - 10:30pm. That's 15.5 hours, people!!! 3 kids, too! The oldest one (ages 7 and 10) were in school...but only for a half day. The 3 year old never took a nap. They had some good moments, but for the most part they were awful. I almost cried. I just wanted to go home! Luckily, a friend suggested I bring my Wii over there and I could just kiss her for that suggestion! It saved my sanity.

-And lastly, Cameron and I ordered a bookshelf for his office YESTERDAY from Target and guess what was on our porch TODAY! The bookshelf! That is some crazy fast shipping, Target. Kudos to you!

That's all the randomness for now! Have a good night and a great weekend!

Thankful for Naked Jay Big Dill Vodka.

I'll save the sappy stuff for tomorrow.
Today, I'm here to talk about vodka.
Not just any vodka.
PICKLE VODKA.

Last week, after I posted about National Pickle Day, I got a glorious email. It was from a girl named Alexis who does PR for a company called Naked Jay Vodka. She introduced me to this new company and said she wanted to send me some pickle flavored vodka! I emailed her back IMMEDIATELY with my address.

Naked Jay Vodka is based out of New Orleans, Louisiana and currently has three flavors of vodka: 80 proof original, whip cream and big dill! The vodka is only available in Virginia at the time, but is also about to be released in Illinois and will be slowly releasing to additional areas.

I recieved my package of mini-bottle samples (1 regular vodka, 1 whip cream and 5 big dills!) late last week and saved them until Saturday's football game against the Citadel so I could let other people get in on the deliciousness.

Emily and I mixed up some bloody mary's with our Big Dill vodka and it was SO good. Not too overwhelming, just the right amount of tangyness! Once I can get my hand on a full bottle of Big Dill, this will definitely be my go to drink.

See that orange soda behind me? That was to mix with the whip cream vodka. Orange creamsicle, which was AMAZING.

So, if you live in Virgina, go get you some Naked Jay Vodka. You will not be disappointed.

And if you don't, like their page on Facebook (here) and/or follow them on Twitter (here) to find out when NJV is coming to your area!
