Baker Wedding: The Send Off!

Sigh...the last of the wedding re-cap posts.

When I first stumbled across this picture on Pinterest, I knew immediately what we were going to do for our send off. Since Cameron and I don't agree on football teams, we split the colors, ordering half garnet and half orange.

I found them cheapest at Oriental Trading and waited for a sale to come along also.
We passed them out during one of the last songs and as you could expect between two rival teams, it got a leeeeeetle rowdy.
The Clemson fans started doing their little chant and all the Carolina fans would have to do is stick out their hand with 4 fingers held up (as seen below). For those of you who don't follow college football, we've beat Clemson 4 years in a row. I'm not getting cocky (no pun intended), I know that streak could easily be ended.....but hopefully not. :)
That's my Dad's best friend, Franco, tossing out the pom poms and Cameron and Ted on the mic doing their little Clemson chant.
And this would be my Uncle Jay.
My Dad wanted to test out the send off line. His moment of glory if you will.
And then it was our turn!

We left in style on Cameron's family's sportfisher, The Major Motion!
So fun! One of my favorite parts of the wedding.
Cameron's cousin, who drives the boat, backed it up so that we could say bye one last time to our family and friends.
And then we had a mini photo shoot on the boat.

We also had some stalkers, I mean, friends who came to the wedding by boat.
Then we sat down for the first time in probably 8 hours and chilled as hubby and wife!

Got dropped off at the Wappoo boat ramp and were picked up by Compass Transportation. Highly recommend them if you are looking for any kind of transportation!
Then, we were taken to our hotel room at The Francis Marion, where we were upgraded to the penthouse level and stayed in one of the Harbor View Suites! Score!

Thank you to each and every one of you who left sweet comments regarding our wedding. I had so much fun looking back at the pictures, re-living that amazing night.

Baker Wedding: First Dances.

Introducing for the first time, "Mr. and Mrs. Cameron Baker!"

Obsessed with the clear top tent we added on and the chandelier.

For our first dance, we danced to "Heavenly Day" by Patty Griffin.
I have been obsessed with this song since the first time I heard it, which was when I was working for a company that booked bands and DJ's for weddings and events.
I can't even listen to the song anymore without getting happy tears in my eyes.
"Oh heavenly day, all the clouds blew away
Got no trouble today with anyone
The smile on your face I live only to see
It's enough for me, baby, it's enough for me
Oh, heavenly day, heavenly day, heavenly day"
"Tomorrow may rain with sorrow
Here's a little time we can borrow
Forget all our troubles in these moments so few
All we've got right now, the only thing that
All we really have to do
Is have ourselves a heavenly day
Lay here and watch the trees sway
Oh, can't see no other way, no way, no way
Heavenly day, heavenly day, heavenly day"
"No one at my shoulder bringing me fears
Got no clouds up above me bringing me tears
Got nothing to tell you, I've got nothing much to say
Only I'm glad to be here with you
On this heavenly, heavenly, heavenly, heavenly
Heavenly day, all the trouble's gone away
Oh, for a while anyway, for a while anyway
Heavenly day, heavenly day, heavenly day"

My Dad and I danced to "My Girl" by The Temptations.
It has always been "our song."

It was all going swimmingly, until we attempted our first twirl....

Yep, he stepped on my dress. :) I like to give him a hard time about it, but it really wasn't that big of a deal. My facial expressions are pretty hilarious though.

We tried it again with success.

And ended with a dip..which, clearly, I was nervous about.

This picture makes my heart melt.
