The Charleston Nine.

Today we remember Louis Mulkey and the rest of the Charleston Nine for their ultimate sacrifices.

Father's Day + Tease Dry Bar on Living Social!

What a wonderful Father's Day weekend it was! To start, the weather was amazing. Nice and sunny, with little humidity.

Friday night, we had my parents over for dinner and drinks. My mom brought the delicious appetizer you see below, which was toasted french bread drizzled with olive oil, topped with mozzarella, prosciutto, and basil. Holy YUM. I could have just eaten that for dinner.

For dinner, Cameron grilled NY Strips, and I made twice baked potatoes and a caesar salad.

 Saturday, I had to work. Boring.

Sunday, we went out to Cameron's parent's house on Johns Island for a day of sun and family time!

Then we came home and crashed on the couch with our furry pup. He was happy to see us.

Baker Wedding: First Dances.

Introducing for the first time, "Mr. and Mrs. Cameron Baker!"

 

Obsessed with the clear top tent we added on and the chandelier.

 

For our first dance, we danced to "Heavenly Day" by Patty Griffin.

I have been obsessed with this song since the first time I heard it, which was when I was working for a company that booked bands and DJ's for weddings and events.

I can't even listen to the song anymore without getting happy tears in my eyes.

It has always been "our song."

It was all going swimmingly, until we attempted our first twirl....

 

Yep, he stepped on my dress. :) I like to give him a hard time about it, but it really wasn't that big of a deal. My facial expressions are pretty hilarious though.

 

We tried it again with success.

 

And ended with a dip..which, clearly, I was nervous about.
