Guacamole Lovers! + Weekend Plans

I discovered pretty much the best invention ever yesterday while at the Harris Teeter. You see, I had a coupon for $1.50 off a Wholly Guacamole item (which doubled to $3 off - thank you Harris Teeter Super Doubles week!) and I was just planning on just getting a regular thing of guac...when something caught my eye!
This pictures says it only comes with 3 packs, but the one I bought came with 6.

100 calorie, individual packs of guacamole! PERFECT for packing in my lunch and I don't have to worry about it spoiling before I can eat the whole bag (not that I couldn't eat the whole entire full size bag in one sitting). So good and so exciting that not-so-shamefully I've hidden them in the fridge from Cameron. Sure hope he's forgotten about my blog! :) Oh, and when I'm done, I lick the package. You know you'll do it, too. SO GOOD!

Ok, there's my random Friday post for you!

Tonight we're going Cameron's co-workers surprise 30th birthday celebration and tomorrow's plans are yard work, couch FINALLY being delivered and Kady & Kyle's wedding at 4:30pm! Kady is going to be drop dead gorgeous (seriously! look at her pic below from her bridal portrait session!) and the reception is going to be so fun! I can't wait!

Craigslist Find! (Now What??)

A few weeks ago while I was bored at work (surprise, surprise), I was looking around on Craigslist for some cheap furniture that was just begging for some fresh paint. I stumbled across an awesome set of matching nightstands and a matching dresser for just $40! I contacted the seller immediately and picked them up 2 days later.

Here they are:
Love the detail on the top drawers.

Please excuse my messy garage and crappy photog skills.
Now, for my question: The tops of the night stands & dresser are laminate. Sanding won't help. What am I supposed to do to make sure the paint sticks and doesn't look horrendous?? Help please! I found this article and am hoping it's for real. But I still welcome any other suggestions!

I plan on painting the dresser a mustard-y yellow and the night stands white. Or vice versa. I know I want yellow and white because I think it will look great with the grey wall color.

This is the picture that pretty much came my inspiration for this particular project and guest room. I'm so sorry I cannot remember which blog I found it on though! If it's yours please let me know so I can give you credit!

Thanks y'all! :)

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

Hey y'all! It's been a busy one at work today! No, not really, I've just been busy putting together my grocery store list for tomorrow's trip to the store. Which leads me to..

I'm loving that Harris Teeter's Super Doubles Coupon Week is back! I'm not embarrassed to admit that I am a coupon clippin' hussy. Who wouldn't be excited about saving tons of money??

I'm loving the weather this week! It has been sunny and in the mid-60's and is going to continue throughout the weekend! Perfect weather for Kady & Kyle's wedding on Saturday!

I'm loving that Tracy Turpen is giving away a free wedding photography session to a lucky couple ANYWHERE in the world! She has always been my favorite photographer and I stalk her blog everyday to see if she has posted new photos. Too bad I'm not engaged and can't enter the contest. Bummer.

I'm loving that the USC baseball team has their first game of the season on Friday! Here's to hoping they can bring home another championship!

I'm loving the wreath I bought on Amazon (Home Decorators Collection brand)! I previously bought a $20 gift certificate for $10 from Living Social / Groupon / Whatever so I only wound up paying $8! Told you I was a coupon clippin' hussy. :)

Tibi vs. Forever 21

I had to go downtown yesterday to pick up my bridesmaid dress for Katie's wedding so I decided to check out our new Forever 21 while I was down there! Overwhelming couldn't even begin to describe what I felt when I walked in. I didn't even know where to start.

Anyway, as I was walking around I saw this dress. The color was beautiful. Looked at the price tag - $32.80, which is not that expensive for a silk dress, but it's on the higher end for Forever 21. I immediately thought of the Tibi dress that I've been dying for, but obviously could not afford. I added it to my pile of clothes to try on, knowing in the back of my mind it wasn't going to fit. But it did! What do you think? Similar enough?
