Friday Five.

Happy Friday!

Actually happy to be back in the office today (I'm usually on Kiawah Wednesday and Thursday). On my way out to Kiawah yesterday I got a flat tire. Kind of scary when you're on a narrow, two lane highway where there is hardly any shoulder. Thankfully I pulled over safely and Cameron drove all the way from Daniel Island to come rescue me. After he put my spare tire on we were able to enjoy a nice lunch at Freshfields and walk around some of the shops. Silver lining!

Other things making me happy this week...

Splurge vs. Save
Would you believe me if I told you that I found this same dress listed for $105 on one website, and only $17.99 on another? I wouldn't believe it either. I came across the cheaper version on the website Sheinside. Has anyone ever ordered from them before? I'm kind of skeptical, but it's almost too good of a deal not to try it out.

Thanks to Ashley's post about her favorite Iphone apps, she reminded me that I had a Poshmark account. I did a quick closet clean out over the weekend and listed a few new items. You can find me at @meganlsmith.

A simple, yummy breakfast.

Off to the mountains this weekend with some of my favorite girls! Other than the 4.5 hour drive, I am really looking forward to it! Lots of girl talk, hot tub, roaring fire, hot (and cold) beverages, and laughter.

  11. Wow, what a savings! I actually just ordered a skirt from Sheinside yesterday for the first time. They have a ton of options, I just hoped I'm as pleased with the skirt in person as I am online.

  12. That's such a fear of mine that I'll get a flat tire in the middle of nowhere! Or worse on the highway and risk getting killed! Sounds like you're going to have an awesome weekend!

  14. I have never ordered from Sheinside, but some of my favorite fashionistas that I follow on Pinterest, pin their items all the time. I'm now giving serious consideration to ordering that dress! I mean for $17.99, even if you only get two wears out of it, it's not hurting your wallet like the $109! I know just how awful a flat tire is! I got two (on the same side) within two weeks!!! Luckily my sweet Daddy came to the rescue because this was before Steven and I had gotten our house!

  15. Ive been meaning to do a post on She inside!!!! If you are ok with it arriving and not being able to return it even if you dislike it or it doesn't fit, go for it (I love that dress). Im still waiting on $50 from them and I know I will NEVER see it again - I should have kept the merchandise that didn't fit and I didn't like and not dealt with a week of trying to communicate with their "customer service" department where it's an automated email that says the same thing every time. It was really sketchy. Sorry I had to comment when I saw that adorable dress to warn you! But that was just my experience so I don't know ?!?! Basically, good cheap items but you definitely can't return them (in my case). And if you finally try, you won't get your money back.

  17. That breakfast looks SO good. I've been meaning to change up my breakfast habits lately - I'll have to give that a try. I was catching up on your blog and saw that you ordered the rose petal witch hazel. I recently posted about that too, and I'm loving it!! How do you like it? Have a great weekend!

  21. That dress is amazing! Let me know if you order it! I may have to follow your lead. I love Poshmark! I need to remember to list some items there. And, OMG... flat tires. THE WORST. David got his on the side of a major highway and didn't get over enough to be able to change it himself. Seriously, Triple A sent 3 different trucks to block the lane so they could change it. #hotmess. Hope you had a blast in the mountains! xo
