Wedding Wednesday: Honeymoon Essentials.

Cameron and I are deep in the middle of planning our honeymoon and are so close to making a decision! Looking at all of the pictures of clear blue water, frozen drinks and infinity pools have really got my mind thinking about what I am going to need to pack!

Honeymoon Essentials
Am I missing any essentials? I do know I will need to bring bugspray just in case!
Where did you are/are you going on your honeymoon? Do tell!!

  1. Love this!! I have no idea where we are going yet, but I know it will be somewhere tropical!! However, even though we havent settled on a location, I'm already buying long breezy maxi dresses. I just can't resist! :)

  3. The best piece of honeymoon packing advice I have is make sure to take several smaller (less than 3 oz) sunblocks in your carry on in case you lose your luggage! Luckily it didn't happen to us, but we went to Jamaica, and a bottle of sunblock to buy was literally like, $25. I was so relieved knowing I had back ups in case it DID happen

  4. Everything looks so cute!! YAY for Cameron making progress!! I wish my manly half was making a little more progress with ours, but I'm not so lucky.. I feel I may be taking over that project very soon, I just can't take it anymore!

  7. So excited for you! Your honeymoon will be one of the best weeks of your life. Pure relaxation and over-indulgence. The most helpful thing I brought was a small flexible tripod for my camera. We could wrap it around different things and get great couples shots, so we didn't have any of the long-armed ones or ones by ourselves. Well worth the $20!

  8. Ahh...honeymoons are amazing. We went to an all inclusive resort in Riviera Maya, Mexico. It was amazing...liquor taps in the room, room service, free credits to use in the spa...I could go on and on! Tropical is definitely the way to go!

  9. I definitely have a recommendation! My husband and I like to sleep with a fan on ... we don't like getting hot at night. Tropical locations can be awfully humid. We packed a really tiny fan (maybe 6" tall, less than $10) and loved having that on our nightstand. Also - pack a small collection of meds ... I got sick on our honeymoon and we paid a fortune for decongestant pills :) Advil, Pepto, and a decongestant are always a good idea!

  10. Ooooh can't wait to hear what the final contenders are!

My husband and I went to Italy and France for our honeymoon. We combined European culture, history, food, wine and beach. In hindsight, I definitely could have used a bit more beach relaxation after planning a wedding:)

We purchased a few of the mini candles in our favourite scents from Bath & Body Works. They were really nice to light when enjoying a cocktail on the terrace or getting ready in the room. I recommend picking up a few of those and throwing them in your suitcase!

  11. Just a tidbit taking pepto tabs after drinking can turn your tongue black. My new hubby and I found that out the hard way. Being in a forge in country with a black tongue is scary!!!

  12. April got a white bikini monogrammed with her new married monogram so I'm stealing her idea and doing the same!

  13. How funny! Ever since I saw a Travel Channel special on an underwater restaurant in Maldives, that has been my dream honeymoon spot!
